My Story

I do what I do based on my personal experience. Here’s why.

Have you ever found yourself sitting in a car, at work, or even at home, with your lower back throbbing like it had its own heartbeat? I know the feeling all too well. There I was, in my early 20s, feeling like an old man. I had to push against my knees and stifle a “dad grunt” every time I stood up from a chair.

At that point in my life, I had been an avid gym-goer for over six years, consistently working out 4-5 times per week. However, I was avoiding squats and deadlifts like they were the plague (or COVID-19 in 2020). My back pain was limiting my activities, and for the first time, I could feel my strength and overall health starting to decline.

Does this sound familiar to you? If so, you’re not alone.

Here’s the ironic part: this was during my first year of chiropractic school! Yes, you heard that right. How could someone suffering from debilitating lower back pain help others with the same issue? I struggled with the thought, “How can I help others in pain when I can’t figure out how to help myself?”

I was getting adjusted by classmates daily just to get by, but with little relief. I knew, as a future chiropractor, there had to be another way for myself and my future patients to move and feel better.

From that point forward, I shifted my focus. Instead of concentrating primarily on my adjustment skills, I dove deep into studying human movement and biomechanics.

Many seminars and courses later, I learned how to confidently assess human movement and function. That’s when the revelation hit: my back pain wasn’t a back problem!

After a proper movement assessment, I discovered my biggest limitations were not in my back, but in my hips and core. Poor hip mobility and an unstable core were causing me to compensate and overuse my lower back.

With this newfound information, I started to train my hip mobility and core stability daily. After a few weeks of a structured core and mobility training program, I made significant strides in my recovery. Within a month, I could sit in class all day without pain, and I even reintroduced squats and deadlifts back into my workout routine.

I’m sharing my story because I know many of you are limiting your activities and lifestyle because of musculoskeletal (MSK) pain, such as lower back pain, hip pain, or knee pain. Through my personal experience and over five years of clinical practice, I’ve discovered that improving your biggest functional limitations, or as I like to say, “fixing the weakest links in your kinetic chain,” can enhance your movement quality and decrease the chances of getting injured.

This is incredibly relevant right now because a recent 2024 survey found that 50% of adults in the United States had suffered from MSK pain within the last 12 months. That means there’s a 50% chance you could experience an MSK pain incident in the next 12 months!

That’s why I created the Mobility Suite Membership, packed with daily mobility and core routines, along with all the programs you need to improve your weakest links so you can move better and prevent MSK pain from derailing your life!

My mission is to spread the knowledge of how powerful mobility and prehab training are, aiming to make a major impact on improving people’s lives. If only you knew how impactful just five minutes of training a day could be for your overall health and well-being.

Remember, you only have one body. Knowing what you need to do to keep it functioning at a high level is vital for living a pain-free and active life! Whether you want to continue strength training into your 30s and 40s, regularly play pickleball and golf in your 50s and 60s, or be there to play with your grandchildren in your 70s and 80s, prioritizing your movement today will help you live a life that keeps you feeling young!

Through my experience, I developed the most efficient ways to improve joint-specific mobility alongside improved stability and function. If you want to live a healthier, more active lifestyle, take advantage of my skill sets and expertise and join the movement with the Mobility Suite Membership.
